Galloway's Groups - Policy Statement regarding spammers and action to be
taken against them:
My groups adhere to a strict policy when dealing with any and all spammers. Spamming is defined as actions which may fall into one or more of the following categories: 1) Posting links to "commercial" or "revenue earning" or "commission paying" material, be it a web page/site or other link which may be visited as a result of the message posted. 2) The posting of the address or link to another group, where prior agreement has not previously been obtained from the List Owner, and a reciprocal arrangement made, and permission to post the link granted. 3) Postings which are contrary to Yahoo! Groups own anti-spam policy, details of which may be found at: http://groups.yahoo.com/info/nospam.html 4) Any other posting which may be deemed in contradiction to the "spirit" of the eGroup to which it is posted, and is considered to have been posted with intent to gain pecuniary or other personal advantage of any form. Action taken in the event of spamming: The following actions will be taken in the event that a posting in any of my groups is considered to fall under any of the above categories: 1) The List Owner or Moderator will unsubscribe the poster from ALL of my groups. 2) The List Owner or Moderator will ban the poster from ALL of my groups, preventing them from re-joining. 3) The List Owner will report the poster to Yahoo! Groups ( abuse@yahoo.com ), who may, at their discretion, remove the poster's account, and remove/delete any/all groups owned or moderated by the poster. 4) In certain cases the List Owner may, at his/her discretion, lodge a complaint with the poster's ISP or mail feed and ask that their account be removed/deleted under the terms of any TOS that applies. In ALL cases the decision of the List Owner is final, and not subject to negotiation. A copy
